Distress Inking Class - August 4 - 2012

Today was my first time using Distress Inking using the "T!m Holtz" range of distress inking pens, I loved it even having to huff on the inked stamp hahaha as warmth activates the ink - go figure that one. I also learned how to use a "Cropodile" and punch and how to set an eyelet all techniques I have not done before. The colour of the cards today I think are just stunning Dark purple and black and those Kaiser flower roses are amazing. Next week  I am doing the"Timmy tags" classes I am doing both the A and B classes learning the techniques as taught by the man himself
Mr T!m Holtz - who you say? shame on you just ask Toni over at Jelly Bean Scrappers and she would say wash your mouth out hahahaha anyway the techniques we are going to be doing on this tag series the man himself taught to the woman from the LSS who is running the tag classes, I am so looking forward to doing these so watch this space.

Bo Bunny card class - July 21 - 2012

When I did the last card class using the "Bo Bunny" range I saw the samples for the July class and instantly feel in love with them, so of course I had to book in for the next class. This time we were using the very oriental (you will like these Noriel) range called "Serenity" I just love the cards and the way they have turned out are just stunning as I said and I am sure you will agree they are very Oriental looking - enjoy the photos.

Bo Bunny Cards - June 23 - 2012

I received an email from the local scrap shop and liked the look of a class they were going to hold. It was a card workshop using the beautiful "Bo Bunny range" this range was called  "Ambrosia" we made 8 gorgeous cards  - hope you like them also. Enjoy the photos.

Coffee Club Cotton Tree - Marrochydore - July 2012

Another beautiful Sunday morning we woke late made a cuppa and had a lie in for a change, something we don't often get to do due the fact we work 6days a week so Sunday is a treat. Most Sunday's we make sure we go somewhere for a few hours to escape the phone, people coming and going and or banging on our door. Cotton Tree was the order of the day when we eventually got up and got moving. There is a market on a Sunday and the main street is closed off, we walked among the stalls and as it was almost 1.00pm made our way to the Coffee Club directly opposite the caravan park. The road re - opens at midday so the coffee club was pretty full however we found a great seat and table in the sun and ordered a coffee each and a bowl of their amazing pumpkin soup with turkish bread. Once we had devoured that we made our way across the road to the caravan park and sat on the beach for a while in the sun enjoying the warmth and just watching - it was simply lovely however before long we made our way back home again.

Poppy arrives on Bribie - June 2012

As Terry & Patricia had arrived on Bribie we booked the van site next to them for Queens Birthday weekend  - June 8-910 and home again on the afternoon of the 11th. We arrived mid afternoon on the Friday as started work at 0600am to allow me to finish earlier, it was a long weekend and we really thought the H/Way would be shocking however we were very surprised to find it not too bad at all. Arriving on Bribie around 3.30pm we were soon set up on the great corner site next to Terry and Patricia, you can just see Terry & Patricia's van behind ours (see the blue gazebo that is there entertaining area) we went to the local pub for dinner and had seniors meals complete with free dessert, arrriving back at the van's around 8.30 cuppa tea time and then all 4 of us were yawning so bed was the next best thing. We woke on Saturday to rain and it continued all weekend and was pretty cold and windy so no sitting out in the sun that weekend. Of course the day we were due to leave it turned out fine. We left around 4.00pm on the Monday arvo and were once again dreading the H/Way due to traffic volume - luckily for us the gridlock was heading once again south and we re were going north, the 3rd to last photo shows the traffic gridlock heading south. Once home Brian decides the roll out awning needs a good wash. We had a great relaxing weekend one we do each time Terry & Patricia come over.

Coolum - May 20th 2012

We woke to a beautiful day on the Sunday morning and Brian said I think we will head to Coolum for a drive and a walk along the boardwalk. It was a truely amazing day warm and sunny and Coolum was buzzing, the boardwalk goes from the main shopping area along the top of the beach and cliffs to Point Arkwright lookout, we stopped here and admired the view along with many others and then walked back down to the Coffee Club for a nice coffee before heading home.

Jelly Bean - ATC swap - May 2012

Noriel decided that another ATC swap was needed over at Jelly Bean Scrappers, I think we had already voted toward a theme and May was the theme for "Circus/Carnival.
9 of us took part and the photo shows the 9 finished mini works of art.
