Saturday September 6th:
We
had arranged to head down to the Gold Coast to see our very special
friends Ann & Mick Lavin.
We
headed away early as we are unable to stay the night due to having to
get back to Miss Jedda, so
we
wanted to make the most of the day. We had a great run from Clamvale
to the Pacific H/Way, heading toward the GCoast the traffic was
pretty heavy however thinned out at about Yatala, from there it was
an easy run to the Helensvale turnoff where we were then only about a
30min drive to Mick & Anns. Found our way no probs and arrived in
time for a coffee made by Mick. We chatted for a while & then had
lunch that Ann had prepared very nice also thank you Ann. After lunch
Mick & Ann took us for a drive to Sanctuary Cove our old stamping
ground when we first arrived over from NZ, we were there for 2yr. Man
the place has changed so much. We saw Sanctuary Gardens where we
lived it looks as nice as ever. From here we headed back to Harbour
Town where we had a nice coffee at Coffee Club before heading back to
Ann & Micks for a chat, time for a loo stop, gather our
belongings and heading back to Clamvale. We had a super run back
arriving back at Corphyr Cres around 1710, after a great day with our
very special friends. Once again thank you Ann & Mick.
Below photo shows the lads trying out the sun loungers by the pool, they disappeared and when Ann & I look over the balconey here they were chillaxin.
