Cyclone Marica Weekend 1
February 21 - 22nd - 2015
Water water everywhere literally. When there was a break in the rain armed with the umbrella and camera I set out to see what water was around - there was plenty to see.
The above photos are of the walkway access, we usually walk along this track to get to the local shopping complex, but not this day, the water was flowing really fast.
As at 25th February 2015
YES
I received my letter from the Immigration to advise that I have been approved for Citizenship. I am so excited, however I am not a citizen until I do the ceremony. My ceremony was booked in for June 22nd but I have had to ring Immigration and advise them that I will not be in Queensland on that date. I will be re booked in for July and again I probably will miss that one also as we don't get back to Qld until approx July 22nd, so here's hoping I will get put in for the August one. Moreton Bay council have ceremonies every month. Immigration said it was not an issue if I miss a couple as they just roll your name over to the next ceremony, as long as I do a ceremony within a year the application stays valid. After all the hours of work,$$$$$$$ involved, obtaining paper work, previous marriage certificate and or divorce papers!!!!!!, current marriage certificate, original birth certificate and the list goes on and on I am not likely to let it lapse by not doing a ceremony within the year. I was so excited and thanks Keryn Suther's for your help, sorry I kept pestering you re the mail - hahahaha. Brian and I celebrated with a glass of wine.
It's been a while
I haven't been doing much of late, however I did purchase a scrapbooking trolley bag with wheels and pull up handle from a friend of a friend $40 best money spent. This bag is getting stocked with projects and essentials for our trip south at the end of April. Normally when I take craft gear I have at least 2-3 bags or baskets which are honestly a pain in the ass as you never know where to put them in the car/caravan and they get moved around all the time, gear falling out, getting crushed so not any more. Everything will be in my new bag and I love it, will take a photo once it's all set to go.
We are still housesitting at Kallangur - North Lakes, a great area and really close to everything, shops and also allows me to drive 20min to spend some time crafting with Keryn which is always fun. I have also been going every Tuesday morning with a neighbour in her 70s but very sprightly and great fun. Marie the home owner of this house and her neighbour Delia go to this group it is a craft morning however you do and take whatever you want to do,morning tea is provided, aircon and fun and friendship all for $4 - BARGIN, I take cards, write letters, chat or just sit and do nothing as that is allowed, I really enjoy the company.
The card below I made for some good friends of ours who have just had their 53rd Wedding Anniversary, I used the heart punch.
The card below was made and given to the gorgeous Erina who has helped me to organise all the paperwork for my Citizenship. I also made an envelope to go with it.

Feeling Pretty Happy
Popup Card in a Box:
I wanted to make a real girly card full of Butterflies - ummmmmmmmmmmm what/how will I do this, I know I will make a popup card in a box and so I did. I wanted it all in pink tones and the theme was butterflies - pretty happy with it and off to post said card and birthday parcel away today it's for a 4yr old girl in Christchurch. The good thing about it is that it folds flat for posting, I also made the envelope.
And a few more envelopes I made using my envelope scoring board - love it.

Get a load of this
When we were in Christchurch, we were driving across to Akaroa when this old caravan on a trailer we passed on the motorway, how the caravan didn't fall off the trailer we will never know. I think he had in mind to do it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who know's it may well have come off the trailer further along - we turned off so have no idea.
