Now For Something A Bit Different

Learning Digital Scrap booking

Quiet some time ago Brian bought me a computer editing program called Photo shop Elements 10
I wanted to learn to do digital scrap booking looking forward to our caravan trip in 2013, as with regular scrap booking you need & always want more – doing it digitally you only need a computer, your programme & whatever digital scrap booking downloads you have and you don’t need the Internet to do it. So I found some tutorials on PSE (photo shop elements) and decided it was time to find out what all the various bits & pieces are about. They are great tutorials & I have them in print copy for reference & any further refreshing that I need to do. I learnt so much & it's amazing just what can be done. Further posts show a bit of what I learnt pretty amazing actually I certainly surprised myself. Being away in the caravan & or doing the house sitting this form of scrap booking is great, meaning I can still enjoy my new found hobby. Digital scrapping does not have to be expensive as there are loads of sites that have free downloads. Below shows a few excercises that I did. More to follow

Below shows a background paper I made from scratch useing a GRADIENT

Below shows a picture of a camera that I copied and coloured certain areas useing a GRADIENT

The below again is a picture that I copied & pasted then used the  GRADIENT & MAGIC WAND TOOL, the Magic Wand grabs on to certain areas & allows you to change the colour to that area only - amazing.

Below picture I did useing a CUSTOM SHAPE & made a MAT behind the picture
pretty cool hey

Visitors At The Van Park

28 March 14

Our very good caravanning friends Trevor & Jan Appleton, called into Sunseeker Village for a couple of weeks stopover on their way south. Always good to catch up with them. And Trev burnt the snags.

A Big Fire Close By

04 March 14

When we were at Sunseeker Village, we could smell smoke one afternoon. I decided to walk up to the top of the hill & see if I could see anything - I sure did a lot of smoke not too far away. It appears it was in the Beerburrum Forest.

Greetings I'm Back

I need to do some craft

Sunday 23rd February

I have this urge to do some scrapping. I think it may have been the fact that I have 3 books from the library one of which is called: Chicken Soup for the Scrapbookers Soul. I love it all small snippets of stories and how/what people have done to get into scrapbooking - jealous.   So yes I am going to get my head into drive mode and create something - good idea - Hell Yeah.
This quote by Brian Littrell states - If you love someone, put their name in a circle, not a heart, because a heart can be broken, but a circle goes on forever.
How true  - I'm outta here off to start creating.

New Year 2014

Spent a wonderful New Years with our same friends as we had Christmas with. From here we move to Sunseeker Village on January 2nd where we will stay until we move to Bribie Island late May. It is a nice park we know it well as we used to live here before moving to Fort Knox Storage, we like the area, the park is quiet & clean & has a lovely pool. Our site is a stones throw from the pool so all good.

Below 2 photos are of our wonderful friends.

Below photos show our spot at Sunseeker Village - Caloundra

Christmas 2013

Christmas was spent with our special friends Helen & David & Bronwyn & Sonny. A lovely lunch was had with Vicky (Brian's eldest daughter) her partner Ady and the grandies Olivia & Jamie. Back to have a nice easy tea with our friends as above.
