Jamie's Birthday Card

This one below is for our grandson Jamie who turns 9 in a couple of weeks. As we are way down south we thought a gift card would be the easiest gift to send. I didn't just want to post it in a card so I decided what better than to make a gift bag in the form of a parcel and that's just what I did. I love the cheeky look that it gives and I am sure he will think what's this - hope he likes it. The greeting inside the card I stamped and used a mask for the top banner, I colored the bunting with my water color pens and then using the Stamp a ma jig,( a cool tool for lining up your stamps in the perfect position) stamped the banner onto the bottom of the stamped image - perfect.

The image below is the finished decorated paper bag ( Stampin Up Tag a Bag Kit )

Water Color Pens

I have found a neat new way of coloring my stamped images in. Ages ago like everything I saw these pens demonstrated and had to buy some then some more and some more and some more. So thought it was time to find out how to get the best out of them - Keryn came to my aid, we had a practise morning at her place when I was at Kallangur as with this trip I could not bring all my stamp pads and or inks as they take up too much room but the pens don't. I just love the look the pens give, the images I stamp onto water color paper so that when I color them the color does not bleed.

My Kit

This is the trolley bag that I purchased off a friend of Keryn's - the best ever purchase. With this trip south the deciding factor was what to bring and how to transport it without all the bags, basket etc that I used to hide under my bed in the caravan and or sneak into the car. This bag has allowed me to bring a heap of gear for any cards that I need to make and or just want to play about with. I have stamps, inks, pads, pens, tapes, papers, cardstock, and on it goes. As you can see I have made sure I have used all the space available. I also have my computer for any digi that I want to do and or play about with new ideas.

I managed to buy this set of old retired Stampin Up stamps (2006) they are double ended and I am loving flowers at the moment, with my water color Stampin Write pens they make the stamp images look amazing when colored. (this set is called Both Ways Blossums)
